H.E Nana Akufo-Addo

President of the Republic of Ghana

Special Guest of Honor and Executive Keynote Speaker

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is the President of Ghana and was sworn into office on January 07, 2017. Under his leadership Ghana has experienced strong macro-economic stability and the introduction of Free Universal High School education. “This is a necessary investment in the youth of this country” President Nana Akufo- Addo has said of the Free High School program in Ghana.
Since taking office, the Ghanaian President has become a champion of the necessity of the African continent to move away from aid dependency.
“It is obvious the Aid Bus will not take Africa to where it has to be… We do not want to be a scar on anybody’s conscience… We certainly do not want headline writers to continue to compete to find the most lurid adjectives to describe our continent and its people… It is time to build economies that are not dependent on charity and handouts… It is clear that we have run out of excuses for the state of our continent.” Nana Akufo-Addo has said.
Called to the England and Ghana Bar in 1975 and 1979 respectively, Nana Addo Dankwa has been in the forefront of Ghanaian politics for more than 35 years. He was previously Attorney General (2001-2003) and Minister for Foreign Affairs and NEPAD (2003-2007). He is married to Rebecca Akufo-Addo and has five daughters.
